Yasmin Rashid chairs syndicate meeting of FJMU

LAHORE: Under the chairmanship of Yasmin Rashid, Provincial Health Minister, the thirtieth syndicate meeting of Fatima Jinnah Medical University was held, in which Shahida, Additional Secretary Department of Specialized Health Care and Medical Education,  Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal, Vice Chancellor, Dr Hussain Jafari, Prof Dr Javaid Karam,  and other syndicate members were present in the meeting.

During the continuing building of the newborn block at Gangaram Hospital, Yasmin Rashid approved the Fatima Jinnah Medical University's yearly budget for 2022-23 during a syndicate meeting. 

During the syndicate meeting, it was also decided to extend the temporary appointments of 74 staff at Fatima Jinnah Medical University and Gangaram Hospital.

Gangaram Hospital's under-construction 600-bed mother-and-child wing is progressing rapidly, according to  Yasmin Rashid. 
Students graduating from medical institutes in Punjab are representing Pakistan internationally.

In Punjab, children afflicted with thalassemia are given access to free medical care. Yasmin Rashid also instructed medical universities to prioritise research.
