Saudi Arabia amends COVID-19 Umrah regulations

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia had amended the COVID-19 requirements for pilgrims seeking to conduct Umrah in the kingdom.

According to Saudi Arabia's Hajj and Umrah Ministry, all Umrah pilgrims must provide a negative PCR test report taken no more than 48 hours before arrival.

The ministry indicated that the new rules will take effect next Wednesday and will apply to all passengers regardless of immunisation status. To visit the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Mosque in Madinah, pilgrims must provide proof of vaccination via the Tawakkalna app.
