26 new dengue cases detected in Karachi       

Karachi: At least 27 more dengue fever cases have been detected throughout the Sindh province in the past 24-hours; 26 were registered in Karachi and one in Matiari.

The Vector-Borne Diseases (VBD) Department of Directorate General Health Services, Sindh has registered 108 dengue cases across the province from 1st to Oct 03, out of which 76 were detected in the Karachi division alone.       

A total of six people have been died of dengue fever in Sindh province, out of which three in District Central, one in District East, one in Tharparkar and one in Matiari.       

In Sindh, 2070 dengue cases were registered, out of which 1688 were recorded in Karachi alone from Jan 01 to Oct 03.
