Russia has announced a partial ceasefire in Ukraine

MOSCOW: The Defence Ministry of Russia had announced a temporary ceasefire to allow humanitarian corridors out of the Ukrainian cities of Mariupol and Volnovakha.

Russian news sources quoted the Russian defence ministry said that from 10 a.m. Moscow time (0700 GMT), the Russian side declares a truce and opens humanitarian corridors to allow civilians to flee Mariupol and Volnovakha.

"It will be allowed to leave using private transportation at 0900 GMT," Mariupol's city hall said in a message posted on social media with the message: "The evacuation of Mariupol will begin at 0900 GMT."People fleeing the city are urged to help the evacuation effort by taking people with them and filling their vehicles as much as possible, according to a statement.
