Medicine label for dacoits or doctors?

KARACHI: A product available in the market, Dexamethasone ampules imported from China by a local company, not only has several grammatical errors owing to verbatim translation. The instructions on the pack are for the dacoit doctors, which is undoubtedly a concern for the doctor fraternity in Pakistan.

Such a lapse in labelling raises concerns about the other related mandatory information inside the pack of all medicines.
 

It seems the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) and the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination's primary department are oblivious of this blunder. It is the sole responsibility of DRAP to monitor the production, sales and distribution of drugs all over Pakistan. DRAP should initiate an enquiry into this labelling fiasco, as this may only be the tip of the iceberg in terms of labelling instructions.
