Belarus issues a World War III threat as it prepares to send troops

MINSK: President of the Republic of Belarus has cautioned that World War III is imminent as he apparently prepares his forces to support Russia's massive invasion of Ukraine.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, warned that the Ukraine crisis could trigger a worldwide conflict, stating in a statement: "Russia is being dragged into a third world war." Humans should use extreme caution and avoid it because nuclear war is the apocalypse.

He asserted that the US is the "only beneficiary" of the recent conflict, claiming that it is intended at relegating Europe and eliminating competition. Lukashenko denied Belarus was involved in the war but warned that forces would be ready to deploy within hours if needed.
