Indian doctor injected mosambi juice into dengue patient

NEW DELHI: Indian media stated that in a tragic instance, a 32-year-old patient named Pradeep Pandey died after receiving a drip injection of juice instead of platelets.

Due to dengue, Pradeep was taken to the Global Hospital and Trauma Centre on October 17. Hospital personnel reportedly gave the sufferer's relatives a bag of mosambi juice labelled 'plasma'. The patient was transferred to a different private hospital, where he died.

According to family members who spoke to the media, doctors at the second facility told them that the 'platelet' bag contained a mixture of chemicals and sweet lime or mousambi juice. The hospital where the tragedy occurred has been sealed, and the deceased patient's family has sought stern action against hospital personnel.

The institution in issue has denied the charges, stating that the victims' own family obtained the platelets. Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Brajesh Pathak has requested an investigation into the event.
