RAWALPINDI: A traffic congestion on the Thanda Jungle road again stranded tourists in Murree following the recent snowfall.

Reinstating traffic is a top priority for highway personnel.

Because of the increased slickness, authorities claimed the route was now inaccessible. The Thanda Jungle road connects Murree with Bhurban and Azad Kashmir.

According to officials, rescuers were busy clearing traffic and relocating tourists to safer areas. Under the most difficult of circumstances, rescue specialists are providing their best response, and teams from the required regions are being mobilised as soon as possible for rescue operations.

Wasim Riaz, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), Rawalpindi, stated that there was a temporary prohibition on accessing Galyat from Kaldana, and tourist cars would not be permitted to enter Murree between the hours of 5 a.m. and 5 p.m.

According to him, there were 590 tourist vehicles in Murree and 367 vehicles left the hill station, with 692 tourist vehicles currently in Murree and two trucks and cranes assisting the automobiles, he added.
