Need for diabetes screening stressed at seminar 

BAHAWALPUR: A seminar aimed at raising awareness about the significance of diabetes screening was held here recently to combat the prevalence of this disease in the country.

The event held at the Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BNH) was jointly organized by the faculty of  

social sciences and Getz Pharma.  

During the event, more than 100 faculty members were offered complimentary laboratory tests, including screenings for diabetes, lipid profile, blood sugar, and HbA1c.

Addressing the participants, Professor of Medicine, Dr Qazi Masroor Ali, emphasized the importance of undergoing regular diabetes screening tests to stay informed about the status of this disease.

"Diabetes is a widespread concern in our society, and people must undergo laboratory screenings, particularly diabetes blood tests, to detect the presence of the disease in our bodies," he said.
