PHCA prepares safety kits for private sector hospitals

KARACHI: The Private Hospitals & Clinics Association has prepared safety kits for distribution to member hospitals.

President, Private Hospitals & Clinics Association, Dr Syed Junaid Ali Shah, noted that 40 hospitals would be provided with these basic safety Personal Protective Equipment including coverall suits, goggles, masks, gloves, face shields, shoe covers, and infrared thermometers.

Along with private hospitals, we will also provide a limited quantity of safety equipment to the SIUT and the Government of Baluchistan, who are facing a severe shortage leading to exposure of healthcare staff to COVID-19.

These items will be delivered immediately, and we will try to turn this into a continuous effort until the crisis is over.

"We strongly urge maintaining segregation in hospitals to prevent the mixing of patients and follow strict protocols.," President PHCA said.
