Patient injured ‘as lady doctor fires pistol’ at hospital

SHEIKHUPURA: A patient was injured under unexplained circumstances allegedly when a lady doctor accidentally fired a pistol at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Safdarabad.
As per hospital sources, Dr. Hina Manzoor, who was on duty, suddenly fired a pistol she kept in her purse. The bullet hit a patient, Asia Bibi, in the arm.
Following the incident, Dr. Manzoor transported the injured patient to Sheikhupura Hospital in her car. Asia Bibi's family confirmed that she was shot, but the hospital administration refused to release the CCTV footage of the incident to journalists.
In a related incident, a shooting occurred in the emergency ward of the Civil Hospital in Hyderabad, Sindh. The incident, reportedly resulting from a dispute over firing at a wedding ceremony, was captured on CCTV footage.
