Sindh Healthcare Commission reduces charges for Dengue, Malaria tests

KARACHI: NS1 Antigen Platelet Count (For Dengue) and ICT Malaria tests were ordered to be discounted by the Sindh Healthcare Commission at laboratories and private hospitals. 

In accordance with the public notice issued by the Sindh Healthcare Commission, the general public is informed that the Sindh Healthcare Commission has issued directives to all private hospitals, laboratories, and associated collection centres to reduce the fees for NS1 antigen, platelet count (for Dengue), and ICT Malaria tests for a period of three months.

The existing charges for NS1 Antigen (for Dengue) were Rs. 1450-3000. For the period of 3 months, the charges will be Rs. 850.

Platelet Count Test’s charges were Rs. 430-550. However, after the order by SHCC, the revised charges will be Rs.250.

Charges for the ICT Malaria test were Rs.800-1300. After the order by SHCC, the revised charges will be Rs.500.

SHCC monitoring teams will verify adherence to this guideline by visiting hospitals and laboratories.
