KARACHI: The National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) has announced a comprehensive medical health insurance policy for its employees and their immediate families. Under this new initiative, staff members, their spouses, children, and parents will receive coverage for essential medical needs — reinforcing NICVD’s commitment to its workforce.
This health insurance plan encompasses a broad network of hospitals and healthcare providers nationwide, and covers hospitalization, emergency care, surgeries, and other critical treatments. It ensures that NICVD’s dedicated team and their dependents have access to timely, quality medical support.
Professor Tahir Saghir, Executive Director of NICVD, remarked:
“At NICVD, we believe that the well-being of our employees is directly linked to the quality of care we provide to patients. This health insurance policy is a token of appreciation for the tireless efforts of our team members who serve with dedication every day. We are committed to ensuring that they and their families receive the same level of care and protection that they help deliver to our patients.”
He also noted that this scheme became possible through sustained support from the Government of Sindh, which continues to champion NICVD’s mission of offering free, high-quality cardiac healthcare to all Pakistani citizens.
This landmark move aligns with NICVD’s vision of building a motivated, secure, and healthy workforce — the backbone of one of the world’s largest and most successful cardiac care networks.
