Cuban government announces scholarships for Pakistanis

ISLAMABAD: For the academic year 2022-23, the government of Cuba, through the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, has granted one undergraduate scholarship in the field of medicine (MBBS) to Pakistani citizens.

According to reports, the minimum qualifying requirements for FSc/A level (pre-medical) and SSC/Matric are at least 70 percent and 60 percent, respectively (O level).

Candidates awaiting results are ineligible to apply, as HEC needs a final merit score. As of the application deadlines, all Pakistani/AJK citizens between the ages of 18 and 25 are eligible to apply.

Candidates must apply online at the HEC website: https://scholarships.hec.gov.pk/#/auth/login, following the selection criteria.

After applying, obtain the applicant's signature on a hard copy. 
The HEC online application platform will be off on September 12th, 2022. (04.00 p.m.). 

The application deadline for the HEC e-portal is September 12th, 2022, or earlier. The Merit Formula will determine the ultimate selection: 50% FSC + 50% Matric.
