Dean of Ziauddin University Dr Rafeeq Aslam Khan passes away

KARACHI: Dr Rafeeq Alam Khan, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ziauddin University, passed away in Karachi. 

Dr Rafeeq Aslam has always believed that every person is born for a particular purpose that is unique to him. The sole aim of life is to discover its meaning. Dr Rafeeq Aslam was born to be an academician, as demonstrated by his thirty-three years of teaching, research, and practical experience, which has resulted in the education of tens of thousands of Pharmacists who provide services nationwide and internationally.

Dr Rafeeq Aslam's dedication to research has spawned a strong team of pharmacologists that not only serve the parent department but also hold leadership positions at academic institutions in Pakistan and abroad. Under the supervision of Dr Rafeeq Aslam, 63 students have received PhD, M. Phil, and M. Pharm degrees. 

Dr Rafeeq Aslam was the editor-in-chief of the open-access publication Ziauddin Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Dr Rafeeq Aslam also served on the Editorial Boards of several major journals.
