ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has officially published the revised syllabus for MDCAT 2025 on its official website, marking a significant step toward standardized, transparent, and merit-based admissions in medical and dental colleges across Pakistan.

The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025 will likely be held on the last Sunday of September or the first Sunday of October, subject to final confirmation in consultation with admitting universities.

The updated MDCAT syllabus 2025 introduces a well-balanced curriculum across five core subjects:

• Biology
• Chemistry
• Physics
• English
• Logical Reasoning

This version places a strong focus on conceptual clarity, critical thinking, and analytical reasoning — aligning national medical education goals with global academic standards.

Key Features of the MDCAT 2025 Exam Pattern:

• Total Questions: 180 MCQs
• Exam Duration: 3 hours

Difficulty Level:

• 15% easy
• 70% moderate

The updated MDCAT curriculum aims to bridge gaps in previous models, foster deeper academic understanding, and promote critical thinking among future healthcare professionals. A national-level question bank is also being developed to further enhance fairness and standardization.
