KARACHI: The Pro-Chancellor of Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) and Minister for Universities & Boards Department, Mr. Muhammad Ismail Rahoo, has lauded the university for its outstanding financial performance and academic excellence. Addressing the 11th meeting of the Senate of DUHS, he highlighted the university’s ability to efficiently manage its operations through its own resources alongside government funding, even amid challenging circumstances.
Mr. Rahoo remarked that while visits to universities often come with requests for bailout packages, Dow University has demonstrated commendable financial discipline. He praised the faculty, staff, and administration for maintaining punctuality and responsibility in conducting Senate and Syndicate meetings, thereby upholding the institution’s credibility and reputation.
The Pro-Chancellor emphasized that DUHS places equal importance on healthcare and education. He expressed pride in the university’s strong academic standing, noting that students across Sindh consistently choose DUHS for programs such as MBBS, BDS, and other academic courses, reflecting the university’s reputation for quality education and professional training.
Mr. Rahoo further highlighted the university’s distinguished contributions to healthcare. He also recognized the university’s achievements in specialized medical fields, including cancer care, bone marrow, kidney, and liver transplantations, which have strengthened DUHS’s status as a leading healthcare institution.
