KARACHI: The search committee constituted to appoint vice chancellors for public sector universities in Sindh has shortlisted three candidates for the post of Vice Chancellor at Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS).
After a rigorous two-day interview process involving 17 shortlisted applicants out of 23, the committee finalized the names of:
These candidates were selected following stringent document verification and performance assessments during interviews held earlier this week. However, Dr. Shahid Rasool of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre could not make it to the final shortlist.
According to sources in the Department of Universities and Boards, the names of the selected candidates have now been forwarded to relevant security agencies for clearance—a standard procedure for high-level academic appointments. Upon receiving clearance, a summary will be sent to the Chief Minister of Sindh, who holds the final authority to appoint the next Vice Chancellor of DUHS from among the three recommended candidates.
