Pfizer sponsoring misinformation about AstraZeneca: Channel 4

LONDON: Channel 4 recently accused Pfizer of influencing experts to discredit AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccination.

As per Channel 4, Pfizer funded a conference where speakers suggested AstraZeneca's jab may cause malignancy and was hazardous for immunocompromised individuals.

According to reports, the presentation was held at an educational conference in Canada last year. The report further stated that it's currently not known how many times these events had occurred.

Nonetheless, Pfizer had categorically rejected the report and claimed that the seminars were wrongly linked to the US medicine firm and were conducted by a third party.

The report further asserted that the manufacturing of Pfizer's vaccination costs 76p each shot, but Pfizer apparently charges the Government of the United Kingdom £22 per dosage, representing an almost 3,000% markup on the production costs.
