Diagnostic lab launched in Nazimabad by Alkhidmat

KARACHI: Jamaat-i-Islami Karachi Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman opened Alkhidmat’s state-of-the-art diagnostic laboratory in Nazimabad.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the JI chief announced plans for establishing a comprehensive health institution in the city to provide patients with a range of healthcare services under one roof.

"This facility will cater to the needs of middle and low-income citizens, offering essential tests such as MRI, CT Scan, Mammography, and more," stated Hafiz Naeemur Rehman.

He emphasised Alkhidmat's commitment to introducing more lab services to address the existing gaps in the country's healthcare system.

He criticised the government for its failure to adequately provide healthcare facilities, despite a substantial budget allocation of Rs214 billion.

Rehman pointed out that millions of citizens in the city continue to face challenges in accessing medical services.

Naveed Ali Baig, CEO of Alkhidmat Karachi, termed the laboratory a gift to the people of Karachi, reflecting the organization's persistent efforts.

He highlighted Alkhidmat's significant contributions to the healthcare system, including 19 collection points and four fully operational hospitals, benefitting approximately 10 million patients annually.
