Police arrests Indian doctor on charges of sexual harassment

Mangaluru, INDIA: Police had recently apprehended Dr Ratnakar, a government health professional, on suspicion of sexually harassing female coworkers.

According to the news source, the complaint was registered after a request from social activists. After the report, local law enforcement authorities detained Dr Ratnakar. Afterwards, he was taken into custody and brought before the court. Court had granted two days remand of the suspect to the police for further investigation.

As per Shashi Kumar, Commissioner of Police, the accused was reported for committing serious crimes as it had been seen in viral footage.

The Health Department had suspended Dr Ratnakar due to his inappropriate behaviour with female coworkers.
