Ziauddin Hospital establishes medical camp for flood victims

KARACHI: Under the leadership of Dr Nida Hussain, Pro-chancellor of Ziauddin University, a team of students, doctors, and support staff from Dr Ziauddin Hospital and Ziauddin University established a medical and relief camp in Hilaya, Thatta.


The goal of the medical and relief camp is to assist flood-affected individuals in Sindh. They endure terrible conditions due to catastrophic floods and lack food, medicine, or shelter.


Dr Nida Hussain noted during her visit to the Thatta relief camp that our team of doctors, medical students, paramedics, and nursing personnel are working relentlessly at the Hilaya, Thatta, flood-relief camp.


She continued, "Flood-relief camps are offering free checkups, medications, paramedics support, and food supplies to the people lying in terrible conditions after the recent floods in the country utterly devastated the lives of the masses and the everyday life of the rural residents."


She stated that this is not the first time that Dr. Ziauddin Hospital and Ziauddin University have played a crucial role in assisting the nation's citizens during natural disasters, but that the medical facility has engaged in similar acts in the past.


Dr Nida Hussain, the vice-chancellor of Ziauddin University, visited the medical and relief camp in Hilaya, the educational institutions in Thatta, and the surrounding districts where the displaced and flood-affected are currently residing.


During her visit, she gave unwavering support to the people of Thatta, as well as the employees of Ziauddin University. They are tirelessly working to alleviate the suffering of heartbroken citizens.
