CM Punjab acknowledges efforts of health officials

LAHORE: Sardar Usman Buzdar, Chief Minister of Punjab, distributed shields among deputy commissioners (DCs) and health department officials. 

Shields were distributed to show the best performance in the Reach Every Door (RED) campaign for saving the citizens from COVID-19.

Usman Buzdar distributed shields to DCs and officials of the health department of Mianwali, Bhakar, DG Khan, Rajanpur, Sargodha, Okara, Kasur, Chiniot, Sahiwal, Multan, TT Singh, Lodhran, Attock, Pakpattan, Gujranwala, Vehari, Hafizabad and Khanewal. SACM Hasaan Khawar, Secretary, Primary and Secondary Health Department.

While appreciating that 58 per cent of the population had been fully vaccinated in the RED campaign, the Chief Minister of Punjab announced to launch the RED-III campaign. The first phase of RED-III would continue until February 14, and line departments would actively participate in it to make it a success, he added. 

COVID-19 is a global challenge, and vaccination of the whole population is imperative to save them from this virus.

He expressed that the government was actively working to vaccinate the maximum number of the population by visiting their houses. 

He added that Punjab is leading in meeting vaccination targets due to the hard work of the health teams and concerned officials.

Dr Yasmin Rashid, Minister of Health, Punjab, appreciated that Usman Buzdar had always extended full support in the vaccination drive. At the same time, Kamran Afzal, Chief Secretary, Punjab, maintained that encouragement of best performers was essential.
