Noor Mukadam consumed narcotics before her death: Zahir Jaffer

ISLAMABAD:  Zahir Jaffer, the main accused in the Noor Mukadam murder case, asserts he wasn't responsible for her death and that he was only implicated because she was found dead in his house.

In his reply to a questionnaire provided through Usman Gul, his attorney, under section 342 of the criminal code, the main accused had also appealed to be permitted to present evidence before the court in his defence.

Noor Mukadam and a group of colleagues showed up at Zahir Jaffar's residence on July 20 for a "drug party," according to Zahir Jaffar's response to the primary accusation. For Eid, he claimed, his parents and other family members were in Karachi.

"When the party started, all my friends, including the victim (Noor), consumed drugs," Zahir stated, adding that he fell unconscious due to heavy drug usage and woke up in my lounge hours later.

Zahir Jaffer went on to say that he and Noor Muqaddam had been friends for a long time and that both of their families knew each other. For the six months until she came to my house on July 18, 2021, I had not been in touch with Noor Mukadam," he stated, adding that he had not seen her.
