ISLAMABAD: Pakistan sent aid to Afghanistan after Afghanistan got hit by a flood due to heavy rain.

According to the Foreign Office and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan delivered the first cargo of relief materials for Afghan citizens devastated by heavy rains and floods in Afghanistan on Saturday.

Floods in Afghanistan killed 22 people and injured 40 on Thursday, destroying hundreds of homes and thousands of acres of crops.

PM Shehbaz promised victims aid supplies and appealed to the international community to help Afghans.

According to the FO, a C-130 plane was despatched earlier today to carry emergency relief materials, including tents, flour, rice, and sugar, to Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan.

The statement stated that a second plane bringing food and supplies for flood victims would be transported to Afghanistan.
