Hepatitis vaccination camp set up at DUHS

Karachi: The Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) and Dow Medical College (DMC), in collaboration with the Hepatitis Prevention & Control Program, Sindh, are organizing a hepatitis screening and vaccination camp for medical students and other staff starting next week.

In the camp, medical students would be screened and vaccinated against hepatitis at the CHK during its first phase while the doctors, paramedical staff, nurses, administrative staff, and lower staff would be administrated with the hepatitis vaccination in the second phase.

Medical Superintendent, Civil Hospital Karachi, Dr Khadim Qureshi, said that the aim of organizing the screening camp is to prevent students and employees from catching hepatitis B, C & D.
