KARACHI: Sindh Integrated Emergency & Health Services (SIEHS) is showcasing its expanding emergency response capabilities at the Healthcare Expo & Conference 2026, offering visitors a firsthand look at the technology, innovation and public service initiatives driving free pre-hospital emergency care across Sindh.
The three-day Healthcare Expo & Conference 2026 is being held at the Karachi Expo Centre from July 23 to 25. Now in its third edition, the event has brought together more than 80 exhibitors from Pakistan and abroad, alongside healthcare professionals, policymakers, industry leaders, innovators and academic institutions to explore the latest developments shaping the future of healthcare.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi, who attended the opening ceremony alongside leading representatives of Pakistan's healthcare sector.
SIEHS Experience Zone attracts visitors
At the heart of the exhibition, SIEHS has established its Experience Zone, an interactive platform designed to introduce visitors to the organization's mission of delivering free, dignified and timely emergency medical services throughout Sindh.
The Experience Zone allows healthcare professionals, students and members of the public to engage directly with SIEHS's emergency response system while learning how the organization responds to medical emergencies across urban and rural communities.
Emergency response fleet on live display
One of the major attractions at the SIEHS pavilion is the live display of its specialized emergency response fleet.
Visitors can closely examine the organization's ICU-on-Wheels Ambulance, First Responder Motorcycle Response Unit and Cycle Response Unit, each developed to improve emergency response times in challenging environments.
These specialized vehicles are designed to reach patients in congested urban streets, densely populated neighborhoods and high-footfall areas where conventional ambulances may face operational delays.
The display highlights how different response models work together to ensure faster access to emergency medical care.
Telemedicine and lifesaving skills take centre stage
The SIEHS Experience Zone also introduces visitors to Tele-Tabeeb 1123, the organization's free 24-hour telemedicine service that connects callers with PMDC-registered doctors and licensed mental health professionals for medical advice and psychological support.
In addition, SIEHS's Department of Research, Development and Education (DRDE) is conducting live demonstrations on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and choking first aid, giving visitors practical knowledge that could help save lives during emergencies before professional medical teams arrive.
Commitment to accessible emergency care
Speaking about SIEHS's participation in the exhibition, Acting Chief Executive Officer Lutaf Ali Mangrio said the event provides an opportunity to bring the organization's emergency response mission closer to the communities it serves.
"Every phone call answered on 1122 carries the same promise: that help will reach you, no matter who you are or where you live. The Healthcare Expo & Conference gives us an opportunity to bring that promise from the field directly to the people we serve, so they can see for themselves what free, quality emergency care looks like."
He said SIEHS remains committed to expanding public awareness, strengthening community engagement and improving access to emergency healthcare services across Sindh.

The Healthcare Expo & Conference features participation from leading healthcare institutions across Pakistan, including Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Pakistan Red Crescent Society, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), Ziauddin University, Hamdard University Hospitals, PNS Shifa, Sindh Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (SICVD), Sindh Institute of Child Health and Neonatology (SICHN), SIUT Pakistan, and the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Institute of Trauma.
SIEHS's participation reflects its broader strategy of engaging directly with communities through public events, awareness campaigns and educational initiatives that promote emergency preparedness and lifesaving skills.
