Medical college at Bahawalnagar to be become fully functional in June 2024 

LAHORE: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Secretary Health Punjab Dr Ahmed Javed Qazi, who reviewed the roadmap of the medical college scheme in Bahawalnagar.  

Special Secretary Department of Specialized Health Care and Medical Education, Syed Wajid Ali Shah, Additional Secretary Development, Agha Nabil, Chief Planning Officer, Abdul Haq Bhatti, Director Buildings South, Umer Chaudhry, and CEO Bahawal Nagar, Dr Faiza attended said meeting.  

Provincial Health Secretary Dr Ahmad Javed Qazi said that the medical college in Bahawalnagar will be completed under any circumstance and shall be fully functional by June 2024.

The medical college in Bahawalnagar will be provided with several other facilities including doctor's residences and student hostels. The provincial health secretary added that DHQ Hospital Bahawalnagar has 539 beds. Construction work on the Mother and Child Hospital is also underway, this wing shall encompass 200 beds in Bahawalnagar. Provincial Health Secretary directed the concerned officers to complete coordination with the P&D department to ensure the completion of this project.
