KARACHI: In a historic development for Pakistan’s medical education, Singapore’s Ministry of Health has officially recognized graduates from eight top-ranked medical schools worldwide, including Aga Khan University’s (AKU) Medical College in Pakistan, allowing them to apply for registration with the Singapore Medical Council.

This landmark accreditation applies to AKU graduates who complete their MBBS before or after 2026, providing them with a valuable pathway to practice medicine in one of Asia’s most competitive healthcare markets, subject to Singapore’s registration requirements.
