SICVD Inaugurates 30th Chest Pain Unit in Sanghar, strengthening free heart care network across Sindh
KARACHI: The Sindh Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (SICVD) has reached another major milestone in its mission to deliver accessible cardiac care across Sindh with the inauguration of its 30th Chest Pain Unit near the D.H.O. Office, Civil Hospital, Sanghar.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Prof. Jawaid Akbar Sial, Executive Director of SICVD, accompanied by senior officials, medical staff, and members of the local community.
Prof. Jawaid Akbar Sial expressed pride in the institute’s growing footprint, stating that the launch of the 30th Chest Pain Unit reflects SICVD’s unwavering commitment to provide free, 24/7 cardiac emergency treatment at the doorstep of every citizen in Sindh.
“It is a proud moment for us as SICVD continues to extend its life-saving services to more cities. Through these units, we ensure that no patient suffers or loses their life due to delay in reaching advanced cardiac care,” said Prof. Jawaid Akbar Sial.

Each SICVD Chest Pain Unit is equipped with trained doctors, nurses, ECG machines, and life-saving medications to provide immediate diagnosis, stabilization, and referral for patients suffering from heart attacks. The Sanghar Chest Pain Unit will operate round-the-clock, delivering emergency cardiac services completely free of cost, ensuring equitable access to advanced healthcare for all, regardless of socioeconomic background.
