KARACHI: The paramedical staff under the banner of Paramedical Staff Joint Action Committee, had continued their protest demonstration and sit-in outside the Karachi Press Club for the regularization of Gavi-vaccinators, restoration of paramedical staff service structure, cancellation of recovery letter, and approval of 30% of the health professional allowance summary.

Later, the protesting paramedics tried to march towards the Chief Minister Sindh House twice, but law enforcement agencies foiled their attempts at entering the red zone.  The paramedical staff wanted to stage a protest in favor of their demands. The paramedical staff of Sindh had also been observing a two-hour token strike and boycott of duties for ten days for the approval of their demands.

Earlier, the second session of negotiation between the representatives of paramedics and the Sindh Health Department was held at the Sindh Secretariat, but paramedics refused to accept any proposal of the Health Department without the issuance of notification.

The central leadership of the Paramedical Staff Joint Action Committee Sindh gave two days to the Sindh Health Department to accept the demands of the technical and support staff; otherwise, a complete strike would be observed across the Sindh province till their demands are met.
