Nine employees of govt hospitals suspended

KARACHI - Sindh health department has suspended nine employees of two government hospitals, including two doctors, on the charges of remaining absent from their duties.

The action against the employees - seven paramedics and two doctors - was taken by the city’s director (Health) Dr Zafar Ejaz during his surprise visit to Sindh Government Hospital, Federal B’ Area.

He also suspended two paramedics of Sindh Government Hospital, Patel Parra, besides issuing show-cause notices to two other employees of the same hospital.

He exhorted the employees of government hospitals to discharge their duties honestly and diligently, or else those found guilty of serious dereliction of duty will be taken to task.
