Ebola Emergency by WHO

GENEVA: Nigeria has become the latest Country to declare a national emergency over the deadly Ebola virus. 1000 lives have fallen to a global health crisis, called the epidemic by the World Health Organisation.

An appeal for an international aid to help the afflicted countries was raised in an emergency meeting of the UN health body´s emergency committee, which also pressed for screening of all people flying out of the affected countries in west Africa.

Global Travel Restrictions have been put in place to prevent the spread of the epidemic.

A National state of emergency had earlier been declared in the most severely affected countries of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
