KARACHI: To honour the martyrdom of attorneys who were burned alive by terrorists at Tahir square in Karachi on April 9, 2008, the Sindh Bar Council will hold a day of sorrow.
In the agitation for the reinstatement of the Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Former Chief Justice of Pakistan, this unfortunate incident occurred.
According to a formal statement from the council, the lawyer would not appear in court on April 9 before the Sindh High Court, District and Sessions Courts, or any other lower courts.
There will be memorial events in several pubs as well, according to the city council.
