Renowned Pakistani neurologist Prof. Dr. Nadir Ali Syed passes away at 60

KARACHI: Prof. Dr. Nadir Ali Syed, a leading Pakistani neurologist and senior faculty member at Aga Khan University, has passed away at the age of 60. The cause of his death remains unknown.

Dr. Syed was widely recognized for his expertise in adult neurology, particularly in the treatment of epilepsy, stroke, and headache disorders. Over the course of his distinguished career, he trained and mentored countless medical professionals while earning deep respect from colleagues and patients alike.

The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) expressed its deepest condolences over his passing, describing Dr. Syed as “a great neurologist and a dedicated teacher whose contributions to the medical community are immeasurable.”

In a statement, the PMA noted that Dr. Syed would be profoundly missed by his colleagues and the thousands of patients he served with dedication and compassion. They prayed for his eternal peace and for Allah to grant him the highest ranks in Jannah.
