KARACHI / ISLAMABAD: India’s unprovoked military incursion into Pakistani territory last night has triggered nationwide response, with both civic institutions and emergency services mobilizing in reaction.
In Karachi, Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) held a protest rally on Wednesday to condemn the hostile act. Students, faculty, and staff came together to denounce Indian aggression, expressing strong support for Pakistan’s sovereignty and armed forces.
“Pakistan seeks peace but will never compromise on its sovereignty. We stand with our armed forces in defending our nation,” said Prof. Amjad Siraj Memon, Vice Chancellor, JSMU.
Demonstrators carried placards and national flags while chanting patriotic slogans. Calls for international justice and condemnation of Indian hostility echoed through the campus, ending with collective prayers for the nation’s strength and security.
Simultaneously, in Islamabad, the federal government has declared high alert in all major public hospitals amid fears of possible emergency fallout.
Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Federal Government Polyclinic (FGPC), among other institutions, have activated emergency protocols. All staff leaves have been canceled, and healthcare personnel currently outside the city have been instructed to return immediately.
Authorities have emphasized preparedness, ensuring that medical staff and facilities are equipped to respond to any crisis situation.
These developments underscore the gravity of the situation following India’s aggression, as institutions across Pakistan remain vigilant and unified in response.
