CHK staffer tests positive for coronavirus

KARACHI: An employee of the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) has tested positive for the coronavirus. The CHK’s administration has started the screening of its other employees.

An administrative official of the CHK noted that a peon posted in the Administration Block has tested positive for the COVID-19. He contracted the disease from a close family friend in Lyari Town, who recently arrived from Iran.

The management has isolated two people, including the infected patient and a security guard, who are in contact with him. The CHK’s administration fumigated the Admin Block and started screening other employees as well.
